You can support this at home by asking your child to create their own story using the same structure. It doesn’t need to be written – making stories up out loud in the car or while you’re on the move works brilliantly.
This structure is used across all year groups, and the children come up with wonderfully creative ideas when given the chance to talk their stories through first.
